Why we exist

Everyone who receives a call from God to ministry has the right to be trained in their own culture and language.

That conviction was born in 1976, in a borrowed room at Angelus Temple, when a group of Hispanic leaders understood that serious theological training could not demand giving up one’s own language.

Nearly fifty years later we remain where we began, in Montebello, serving the same community, with the same conviction and an academic plan revised every cycle.

Facultad Bible College exists for the benefit of the Church, providing a formal, Bible-centered theological education to all who have been called by God to ministry, within the context of their culture and language.

History and recognition

What sets us apart

What you find here and not just anywhere

01

Professors who practice

Our faculty combines graduate degrees from accredited institutions in the United States, Europe, and Latin America with years of active pastoral work. Theory and practice reach the classroom in the same person.

02

A curriculum forged in ministry

Courses were built on the real situations church leaders face. Counseling, conflict, administration, preaching, urban context. What you study on Saturday you use on Sunday.

03

A group that carries you

The cohort model brings together twenty to thirty students who start and finish together. That group sustains the academic pace and becomes a ministry network that lasts far beyond the degree.

04

Two languages, one standard

The Bachelor and Associate programs are taught in Spanish and English, with the same plan and the same demands. You choose the language you think in, not the language imposed on you.

Financing

The College finances your tuition

You do not need an outside loan. You pay an amount at enrollment and the rest in monthly installments, directly to the College.

The payment plan includes a monthly service fee. The full breakdown for each program, and the discounts for pastors and graduates, are on the Tuition page.

Our values

Always faithful to our values

Several open Bibles on a table during a group study
  1. 01

    The Word

Scripture is the final authority and the only infallible rule of faith and practice. Everything we teach begins there.

  2. 02

    The Calling

We train those God has already called. The calling precedes the program and shapes the purpose of every course.

  3. 03

    The Church

We exist for the local church. What a student learns on Saturday is applied in their congregation on Sunday.

  4. 04

    The Context

Everyone with a calling has the right to be trained in their own culture and language, without giving up either one.

  5. 05

    The Academy

Real rigor. Professors with graduate degrees and years of active ministry, serious evaluation, and verifiable academic work.

Alumni

Twelve students in 1981. The count continues.

The pioneering class was called More than Conquerors. Since then these classrooms have sent out pastors, Christian educators, missionaries, evangelists, and church planters serving within and beyond Southern California.
